Canadas federal government is turning to property technology Proptech to help solve the countrys housing crisis. In the just-released 2024 Budget, new funding was announced to spur the development of new housing technologies and additional steps are on the way.

The U.S. Dept. of Energy has awarded a total of $32 million for more than 30 next-generation building retrofit projects that will dramatically improve affordable housing technologies, according to a DOE news release.
