The Oxford Tube in High Street Stagecoach s Oxford Tube service now has a new ticket and journey planning app, enabling easier travel on the upgraded fleet of coaches. Just launched, the new Oxford Tube app delivers a choice of tickets and enhanced features to help passengers plan their trips to the capital. Karen Coventry with the new Oxford Tube app Designed to make travelling between Oxford and London hassle-free, the new app offers a simple journey-planning tool, which uses interactive maps and the smart phone’s GPS system to help customers identify their nearest coach stop.

Karen Coventry, director at Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, which manages the Oxford Tube, said: “We are thrilled to be able to share with our customers that the Oxford Tube will be returning at the end of this month. The government’s roadmap has enabled us to implement a timetable which provides our passengers with a good level of service and will see us through the gradual easing of restrictions and the reopening of non-essential retail which will follow in April. “We have received a number of enquiries regarding when the service will return, not just from customers but from ours drivers too who have been eager to get back behind the wheel of our new coaches.

A Stagecoach bus in Oxford High Street Stagecoach in Oxfordshire is boosting local bus services from Sunday to prepare for schools reopening. The majority of services will return to the timetables in place at the beginning of the year, which mirrored the services running prior to the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. Schools reopen to pupils on Monday after the majority were forced to stay home due to coronavirus restrictions. Karen Coventry, commercial director for Stagecoach Oxfordshire, said: “The government’s four-step roadmap offering a route back to a more normal life was welcome news for everyone and we are delighted to be able to look forward and return most of our services to their usual frequencies.
Stagecoach in Oxfordshire has announced the suspension of the Oxford Tube coach service as London and the South East goes into Tier 4 Covid restrictions. The service, which runs regularly to the capital, will be temporarily suspended from the last journey on Christmas Eve until further notice. The service will be running to the published Christmas timetables for essential journeys only up to Christmas Eve with the last coach leaving Oxford at 1915 and from London at 2200 on Thursday, December 24.
