Palmetto murder suspect considered armed and dangerous
PALMETTO – Police say a suspect a suspect who killed a Palmetto man Thursday should be considered armed and dangerous.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., the Palmetto Police department responded to Palmetto Trae Apartments for a reported shooting, a Palmetto Police news release said. Arriving officers found 27-year-old Ra Shaad McDonald lying on the lawn behind 102 8th St. E. with several gunshot wounds.
Officers began life-saving efforts. McDonald was transported to Blake Medical Center where he later died.
Police investigators and Manatee County Sheriff s Office detectives determined that McDonald was shot during an argument with 28-year-old Sirness Devon Stuarts of Palmetto. Stuarts was identified by police as the man who allegedly killed McDonald.
