The Greeley Blues Jam will kick off its 20th year with a celebration May 31 in downtown Greeley, followed by a day of blues on June 1.

The Weld Community Foundation, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and the Greeley Downtown Development Authority are each welcoming the changing of the guards for their organizations with excitement and big plans for the future.

After a brief hiatus, the Greeley Creative District is bringing back its popular AgriCULTURE Feast at 5:30 p.m.Thursday at the Centennial Village Museum,1475 A. St. in Greeley.The event will feature freshly prepared dishes from local chefs such as Leah Widhalm, lead chef with Banner Health, using local produce and ingredients.

The Greeley Arts Picnic is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with free parking in and around downtown Greeley.

Colorado’s wonky weather struck again Saturday, causing organizers of the annual Greeley Blues Jam to switch the event from its original outdoor location on the lawn of the Island Grove Regional Park to inside the event center.

The warmer months of summer not only bring backyard barbecues, pool parties and the anticipation of vacations, but also numerous events like concerts, festivals and sporting events. With iconic venues like Red Rocks, The Fox Theatre in Boulder, Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium and Mishawaka Amphitheater in Bellvue, Colorado doesn’t lack in entertainment. The annual Greeley Blues Jam officially kicks off at Friday Fest at 5:30 p.m. on June 2 with the main event taking place beginning at noon on Saturday, June 3.
