The Jefferson City Jays snapped a 19-year Final Four drought last season. With a win this afternoon in Springfield against the Parkview Vikings in the Class 5 state quarterfinals, the Jays can be one of the last four teams remaining for the second straight year.
The Jefferson City Jays got the monkey off their back. The Jays were 0-6 on the season in games decided by nine points or less headed into Friday night’s game against the Parkview Vikings, but they ended the streak by closing out a 60-54 victory down the stretch at Fleming Fieldhouse.
On a beautiful evening, Friday, Sept. 8, with a hint of fall, the Parkview Vikings traveled to Plaster Stadium at Southwestern Baptist University to meet the Bolivar Liberators in an Ozark Conference matchup.
