LEVITTOWN, NY Levittown Public Schools officials are investigating a teacher s offensive and hostile social media post criticizing police following the riots at the U.S. Capitol this week. A high school teacher in North Babylon was also reprimanded for an inappropriate social media post.
The Levittown teacher, who works at Division Avenue High School, wrote a Facebook post denouncing what appears to be a photo of a Capitol police officer posing with someone inside the Capitol building after it was stormed.
The post reads: Cop taking a selfie with a terrorist. F - you Thin Blue Line. F - your Blue Lives. F - every single one of you back to elementary school who voted for him. I don t give a flying f - that you know a good cop.

DANBURY, CT Mayor Mark Boughton said his goodbyes to staff and residents in an impromptu Facebook livestream Friday afternoon.
In true Mayor Mark Boughton fashion, he said he would be back for another livestream on Monday, to discuss his favorite Netflix shows.
On Friday, Gov. Ned Lamont named Boughton to be commissioner of the Department of Revenue Services. City Council President Joe Cavo is scheduled to be sworn in as Danbury mayor on Thursday night, in compliance with the city s bylaws.

DANBURY, CT Gov. Ned Lamont has named Mayor Mark Boughton as commissioner of the Department of Revenue Services.
If the legislature signs off, Boughton s term as mayor would come to an end. City Council President Joe Cavo would take the reins of city government once Boughton vacated the seat, and until the City Council elected a new mayor, according to city bylaws.
