The Avondale Estates City Commission, at its May 10 regular meeting, approved a contract to construct phase two of the North Woods stormwater project. 

During a work session on May 10, the Avondale Estates City Commission continued discussing the future of the greenspace advisory committee and discussed a draft ordinance to establish the committee. 

Sidewalk and curb repairs and road repaving are underway in Avondale Estates.

The Avondale Estates City Commission, at its April 26 regular meeting, approved a reduced speed limit for Kensington Road and Clarendon Avenue. The city is seeking to reduce the speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour on both streets.

Avondale Estates City Manager Patrick Bryant presented three options for sanitation services to the city commission during a work session on April 26. The options included keeping the service the same, shifting to curbside garbage collection, and outsourcing the solid waste services.

The Avondale Estates City Commission will meet on Wednesday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m. for a regular meeting, followed by a work session. The city commission meeting will be held at Avondale Estates City Hall, 21 N. Avondale Plaza, and via Zoom.
