A man who sexually assaulted four of his nieces in a high-profile criminal case has walked free from prison after just over two years behind bars.

Those who knew Judge Randy Parro remember him as a meticulous jurist who cared deeply about his family and the Thibodaux community he called home. Parro, a native and resident of the city who served 32 years as a judge, died July 11 at age 78.
