KLANG: There was no need for Bentong Municipal Council (MPB) officers to get into the tug-of-war over a dog that led to the death of an 85-year-old man, say animal rights activists.

The man’s seven-year-old mixed breed dog had allegedly come out of its owner’s compound when a group of council dog catchers visited the housing estate. 

Huang Yunhong tried to hold on to the catch pole and suddenly collapsed into a drain during the struggle.
