The Texas Board of Criminal Justice has recognized former board Chair Patrick O’Daniel by renaming a Gatesville prison, formerly the Mountain View Unit, in his honor.

A maximum security prison in Gatesville that houses female inmates, including those on death row, has been renamed.

He knows better.  The retired volunteer chaplain from Burkburnett spent 24 years teaching the inmates he could reach — all convicted felons — to not only believe otherwise but to live it.  "They are men who have been created in the image of God," Bradley said.
