SPRINGDALE -- The city soon will add Panera Bread to its menu of restaurants.

A new, 77-unit, mixed-income apartment development in Springdale will include 30 units for households making less than $92,000 a year, the Northwest Arkansas Council announced at its annual meeting Tuesday.

Regional planners recommended approval Thursday of a comprehensive transportation safety plan aimed at reducing the number of severe injuries and fatalities on the areas roads.
