The Court was hearing a plea to quash a case filed against the principal of a school who was booked under the Juvenile Justice Act for taking school children to a road show with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Court asked the Police to file a written reply explaining how the “mere presence of schoolchildren in uniform” during the roadshow had necessitated registration of a criminal case against the school management.
