India News: DEHRADUN: Three persons — a supervisor of the joint venture firm operating the sewage treatment plant (STP) in Chamoli district, an assistant engineer.

The body of the operator, Ganesh, was found on Wednesday at around 9.30 am. Later, around 11.35 am, when a group of local residents were protesting the death, 26 people including local residents, police, and Jal Sansthan officials came into contact with a live hand-railing, killing 15 people.

Hinting at more arrests in this connection, Chamoli Superintendent of Police said the role of the owner of the joint venture company, the project manager and other persons was also being probed

Those killed included a police sub-inspector, three home guard jawans, and a plant security guard, among others. The incident took place on Wednesday
