Exchange fees that these credit card companies charge the per chapt and then it gets passed on ultimately to the consumer. what i think this does, this settlement and the legal discussion is it shifts the competitive balance from the visas and the master cards of the world to the merchant and to hopefully the consumer. this is a two-pronged approach. the merchants look as if they are going to win here meaning the small business owner. thats a good thing. they will be able to be charged less for ...
