PITTSBURGH – A federal judge has approved the dismissal of one medical company from a couple’s litigation alleging that the wife-plaintiff developed breast cancer, after not being informed that a surgical scaffold used in her 2015 breast augmentation surgery was the subject of an FDA recall, 10 days after said surgery.

Myra Barsoum Stockett and Jeanne Mullin, who join the firm from Reminger Co., will lead the firm's local office that was established with the acquisition of Giffen & Kaminski in 2022.

The five remaining attorneys at the now defunct Hartford law firm Rome McGuigan aren’t leaving the industry.  But they did recently decide that maintaining their own independent firm was no longer in their best interests. Instead, they’re joining other firms.

The combination will mark a Cleveland expansion for the Columbus-based firm. It will also establish the largest woman-owned law firm in the state, according to firm leaders.
