NASA developed a new quantum detector that may transform quantum computing. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and Caltech developed a quantum detector called Performance-Enhanced Array for Counting Optical Quanta (PEACOQ) that can measure individual photons of light with an accuracy of 100 trillionths of a second at a rate of 1.
