Perry Stowell News Today

Charges were dropped against a man who allegedly retaliated against the family of a teenage hate crime victim who had been punched in the face last month.

Charges have been dismissed against a man accused of a hate crime for allegedly vandalizing Pride flags at the home of a gay teen who was the alleged victim of another hate crime.

A friend of a 17-year-old boy accused of punching a Sandy teenager who was hugging his boyfriend has been charged with a hate crime for allegedly returning to the victims house and tearing down Pride flags.

A man who police say was involved in a homophobic attack on a Sandy teenager just two weeks earlier was arrested for returning to the victim's home and stealing LGBTQIA+ Pride flags.

Hayden Perry Stowell was charged with one count of retaliation against a witness, a third-degree felony; and one count of criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor — both filed with a hate crime enhancement.
