Vin Diesel has revealed that after seeing Fast X Universal Studios insisted that the two part film be made into a "trilogy."

The female stars of Universal's $6-billion action saga, such as Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez, are still battling for their own story.

French filmmaker Louis Leterrier took over on the 10th “Fast and Furious” movie after the sudden exit of longtime helmer Justin Lin, who had directed five of the previous nine films. Universal Studios president Peter Cramer says Leterrier “knew a lot of the actors already. He understands action. He’s done visual effects. He’s done drama. He really was the perfect guy to step in at a moment’s notice and take over, which is what he did.”

After missing out on “Fast 8,” Louis Leterrier almost didn't direct “Fast X.” But he did and brings with it a very different ending.

Fast X director Louis Leterrier will officially remain in the director's seat for the final instalment of the franchise.

Louis Leterrier, who was brought in to the franchise to replace Justin Lin as Fast X director, is now entrusted to sit at the helm for the next Fast and Furious installment.

Leterrier is currently finishing ‘Fast X.’
