Right now the Watchdog Group the committee of 70 is working to change the way those who oversee elections actually land their jobs. Ceo David Thornburg believes philadelphia commissioners should be appointed rather than elected. The Philadelphia City commissioners are a threemember bipartisan board. Theyre the people who make sure your vote counts, literally. Theyre in charge of elections and Voter Registration for the city.
