The Bemidji Pioneer won 26 awards during the Minnesota Newspaper Association's 157th annual convention held Thursday, Feb. 1, in Brooklyn Park.

About 40 people attended a fundraising event at the home of John Baer on Oct. 1 in Bemidji resulting in more than $58,000 being pledged, enough to pay for three Ukrainian soldiers’ operations.
