High winds and poor weather limited fishing to the bays and canals, where school striped bass and tautog entertained anglers willing to endure the conditions.

The "inshore" bluefin jig bite has picked up this week and fluke fishing continues to yield quality catches, meanwhile schoolies and cocktail blues bite in the bay.

Fluke fishing is hot across the board, and our tropical hardtails are showing up around the beaches and reefs.

Inshore anglers enjoy excellent fluke action this week with plenty of shorts and sizable keepers, while tuna move further offshore and the mahi bite slows down.
