Pune s auditoriums are facing issues of cleanliness, air-conditioning, water leakage, and parking facilities, causing concern among citizens and artists. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been unable to keep the auditoriums clean and lacks political pressure to reschedule events. The PMC has been advised to hire professional agencies for cleanliness and appoint officers interested in culture. The district guardian minister has instructed the administration to prepare an action plan and hire private agencies for cleanliness. The Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium will remain closed for air-conditioning system replacement. Balgandharva and other auditoriums will also undergo renovations.

In a disturbing case of alleged gross negligence by a private hospital in
Bhavani Peth, amid the ongoing pandemic second wave, a 70-yearold woman admitted to the facility after testing positive for COVID-19 has gone missing from the premises four days ago.
Her distressed family members have now held the Hope Hospital completely responsible for her disappearance and filed a complaint with Samarth police station (PS) last Sunday.
