Marietta College Physics Professor Dr. Craig Howald will present "Entanglement: From a Problem to a Promise" at Noon, Friday, February 24th, in Bartlett 166 as part of the Physics Colloquium Series. This is a reflection on the work awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. The Physics Department will provide pizza and beverages.

​Marietta College's Physics Department is conducting the first Physics Colloquium of the year at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 23rd, in Selby 150. Astronomers received an amazing gift last December when the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) launched successfully and many of us were awed by the first images released last July.

Keith McBride, a postdoctoral scholar at Ohio State University, will speak about "Balloon-borne Particle Astrophysics with PUEO and HELIX," at Noon, Friday, April 8th, in Rickey 150. The presentation is part of the Physics Colloquium Series. The Physics Department will provide pizza and beverages.

Dr. Joe Snyder, Assistant Professor of Physics, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Miami University, will speak about "Leveraging Microstructures to Manipulate the Relativistic Laser Plasma Interaction," at Noon, Friday, March 25th, in Rickey 150. Dr. Joseph Andler ’15, Systems Engineer with Teledyne Scientific Imaging, will speak about "Solar Cells, Sustainability, and Sensors: The Nexus between Physics and Materials, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering," at Noon, Friday, February 25th, in Rickey 150.
