The Class-6 and Class-7 vehicles are powered by the company’s e-Axle that embodies the electric motor, transmission, and axle in one single unit supplied by Michigan-based Accelera (which is a division of Cummins).

These vehicles will be loaned to customers, allowing fleet operators to fully understand how the all-electric truck will integrate into their operations.

European Whole Vehicle Type Approval for the Volta Zero - Volvo Trucks - FleetPoint - European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval

Volta Trucks, the disruptive all-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, has received European Whole Vehicle Type Approval for its 16-tonne all-electric Volta Zero vehicle. 

The start of series production of customer specification vehicles is on track to start in early 2023.

The milestone vehicle will form part of a Pilot Fleet of trucks loaned to customers for extended periods in late 2022 and early 2023.
