(WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported the daily COVID-19 case count in the state had risen by more than 800, but marking the third consecutive day the state’s new cases had been less than 1,000. MSDH reported 825 new COVID-19 cases and 76 additional deaths Tuesday. Forty-one deaths were reported between Jan. 8-Feb. 1, including one each in Marion and Wayne counties. Another 35 deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Jan. 7-Jan. 28, including one each in Forrest and Jones counties.

MSDH reported 811 new COVID-19 cases and 27 additional deaths Sunday. Three new deaths were reported Jan. 29, including one in Lamar County. Another 24 deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Dec. 12-Jan. 25, including one each in Jasper and Jones counties.

(WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported the daily COVID-19 case count in the state had risen by more than 1,500. MSDH reported 1,528 new COVID-19 cases and 36 additional deaths Saturday. Fifteen new deaths were reported between Jan. 22-Jan 29. Another 21 deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Dec. 24-Jan. 23, including two in Jones County. The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since March to 274.190 and 6,018.

(WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported the daily COVID-19 case count in the state had risen by more than 900. MSDH reported 927 new COVID-19 cases and five additional deaths Monday. All five new deaths were reported between Jan. 17-Jan 24. The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since March to 265,146 and 5,777. Positive test results may have been made during the past several days and represent individuals who became ill a week ago or more.
