Three Barbadian men died from COVID-19 on Saturday, November 20, and one Barbadian woman passed away from the virus today, Sunday, November 21. Two of the males, aged 67 and 83, succumbed to the viral illness while at the Geriatric Hospital. They were both fully vaccinated. An 82-year-old Barbadian woman died from COVID-19, today, Saturday, November 20, at the Harrisonās Point Isolation Facility. She was unvaccinated. Her death brings the number of people who have died from the virus to 207. Acting Minister of Health and Wellness, Senator Dr Jerome Walcott, extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. (BGIS)

On Friday, November 5, a 72-year-old fully vaccinated male died at the Blackman and Gollop Isolation Facility, while a 74-year-old unvaccinated male passed away at the Harrisonās Point Isolation Facility. A total of 336 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, November 3. The facility conducted 2 096 tests. The new positive cases consisted of 156 males and 180 females. Of these, 74 individuals were under the age of 18, and the other 262 were 18 years and older. The COVID-19 death toll has reached 169, following the passing of two Barbadians this morning. A 61-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man succumbed to the viral illness while in primary isolation at the Harrisonās Point Isolation Facility. They were both unvaccinated. A 63-year-old Barbadian man died just after arrival at the Queen Elizabeth Hospitalās Accident and Emergency Department on October 26.
