311 COVID cases on Tuesday

There were 311 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday, October 12 from 2 473 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. Of the 155 females and 156 males who tested positive, 69 were under the age of 18, andĀ 242Ā people were 18 years and older. Two more lose the battle with COVID-19

Health authorities said two Barbadians died from the complications of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) late on Wednesday, pushing the death toll from the viral illness in the island to 108. The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory reported 342 new COVID-19 cases, 164 males and 178 females, on Monday, October 11 from 2 781 tests. Three more Barbadians have lost their lives to COVID-19. Two of them, a 69-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, died yesterday while at Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility.Ā  Both were unvaccinated.
