The Vadodara Special Investigation Team told the court that the remand of Gopal Shah and Paresh Shah would be ‘most critical’ in figuring out the operations of Lake Zone in Harni.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had sought an extension of their remand by nine days. On Wednesday, the SIT was also granted the remand of Binit Kotia, owner of M/s Kotia Projects, until January 31.
DCP (Crime) Yuvrajsinh Jadeja, who is a supervising officer in the case, also said: "If it is found that there was negligence on part of the civic body and its officials, they will also be booked.”
Kumar, who was in Vadodara to chair a panel discussion on the topic 'Beyond the Call of Duty, stories of those in Uniform' at the Vadodara Literature Festival organised by Parul University, also visited the city Police Bhavan to meet officials of the Vadodara city police.
