Foreigner among 2 held with gun, ammunition in Belmont by 20210309 Port-of-Spain Task Force of­fi­cers have ar­rest­ed two men in Bel­mont for pos­ses­sion of a gun and am­mu­ni­tion, one of whom re­port­ed­ly is from the Syr­i­an Arab Re­pub­lic. Ac­cord­ing to an of­fi­cial po­lice re­port, on Mon­day night, po­lice of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that led them to Nor­folk Street, Bel­mont, where they stopped a white Nis­san Ti­i­da with two male oc­cu­pants.  The of­fi­cers con­duct­ed a search of the ve­hi­cle and al­leged­ly dis­cov­ered a black and sil­ver Tau­rus pis­tol in the ve­hi­cle’s trunk in a Sty­ro­foam con­tain­er cov­ered with ice.
