The USPS will replace 49,000 mater keys and locks are part of their plan to protect postal workers from robberies, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin said.

Lexington Police have released photos of a person suspected of robbing a postal worker earlier this week.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said thieves are using a mailbox key taken during a January armed robbery of a Norwood postal worker to open mailboxes and steal mail. More than 40 victims have reported stolen checks totaling $200K, according to the Sheriff's Office.
