The Montreal Old Port has released its summer 2023 program, a long list of activities, spectacles and events to draw visitors to the sprawling waterside attraction. Among them is the return of the Grand PoutineFest, a roving troop of food trucks offering unique takes on the beloved Quebec folk dish. New this year is a beer zone, so attendees can wash down their mountains of fries, cheese, gravy and sure-to-be-wild toppings with local brews.

“Were encouraging everyone to check the voters list and make sure their information is right because that will ensure you get a voters card and it makes it easier for you to vote at an advance poll or on election day,” said Madison Zuppa, the citys deputy clerk.

As we say goodbye to one Montreal food festival, we welcome yet another. The Grand PoutineFest is back for yet another summer full of poutine flavours right in the heart of the Old Port. The Grand PoutineFest is on from July 13 to July 31 where you'll be able to get your hands on a few of the festival's fabulous personalized poutines and loads of activities and entertainment that will keep the party going all day long.

If there was ever an excuse for a pasta crawl, this is it. Montreal Pasta Fest starts May 11. 19 restaurants on the island, North and South Shores have created special pasta dishes for the occasion. Organizers have billed the fest as "the largest celebration of pastas in the greater Montreal area." The goal is to showcase local pasta-makers and give Montrealers an opportunity to discover area Italian restaurants.

Le Grand Poutinefest, an annual celebration of the staple québécois dish, is launching its 2022 edition with a first stop in Montreal's Saint-Laurent borough starting April 28. The festival will feature 17 takes on the traditional pile of fries, gravy and cheese curds — many of them a bit eccentric.
