I think theres definitely a sense of privilege that comes from being an international journalist here in afghanistan. we have seen at times unfortunately some of our colleagues being badly beaten, tortured even by the taliban just for their reporting. something like that hasnt happen with the foreign media, at least not yet. i think thats probably because the taliban know there will be even more serious pr consequences for them internationally. thats not to say there arent challenges being here....
