An additional Rs 4.5 crore will be contributed over five years towards establishing 10 100 percent fellowships to support cutting-edge research at BITS Pilani and 10 100 percent scholarships for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged households, BITS Pilani said in a statement.

Shroff, a philanthropist and serial entrepreneur, founded eInfochips and established the KR Shroff Foundation. He has also pledged Rs 4.5 crore for fully funded fellowships and scholarships at BITS Pilani.
