Windsor Police have laid drug trafficking and weapons charges after an officer from the Problem Oriented Policing Unit observed two people believed to be actively dealing drugs in the downtown core.
On Thursday, July 8th, 2021, at 8:00pm, the officer was patrolling the 600 block of Ouellette Avenue and observed two people in a vehicle believed to be actively dealing drugs . The officer continued to investigate and the two occupants were subsequently arrested.

During the course of the investigation, a quantity of illicit drugs, currency, and other items, including a BB gun and knife were located and seized.

On May 4, 2021, at about 8 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at a business on the 500 block of Edward Street in Trinidad to investigate a restraining order violation.
During a search of the business, deputies located and seized eight firearms and a large quantity of ammunition belonging to 56-year-old
Michael Joseph Morgan. Pursuant to the terms of a court issued restraining order, Morgan is prohibited from possessing firearms. Morgan was taken into custody at the business and was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of prohibited person in possession of a firearm

(PC 273.6(a)).
This case is still under investigation.
