Children ages 4-5 can learn about sustainability and nature at the winter Tiny Turtles classes.

Kids will learn about plants, animals and their habitats, and what happens outdoors in the cold winter months, make snow forts, sculptures, ‘paint’ the snow, look for animal tracks and more.

Classes will run twice a month from September-November

The Tiny Turtles program offers the kids time to explore the natural world around them at the Hunt Utilities Group Resilient Living Campus in Pine River.

Two different trips are available for students in grades 2-8

Girls taking part in Turtle Treks will learn vital camping skills like how to set up a tent, how to start and cook over a fire, and Leave No Trace responsibilities.

Classes promote knowledge of nature and sustainability

Classes start Dec. 12

Students learn about their environment in six classes.

Two trips are planned for girls in grades two through eight.
