Monday night around 7 30. Officials say that is when the train traveling 35 miles an hour in a 40 Miles Per Hour zone collided with a tree and mud slide that was on the track. That caused two of the five cars to derail. When the train stopped you could see mud pretty much covering half of the wheels of several railcars there. 9 people injured with four in serious condition. This morning crews used cranes to remove the other derailed car. A similar tactic that they used before. Crews have been working in the hillside where the mud may have come from and removed other debris on the tracks. U. S. Congressman said thank you to the crews and to see the damage firsthand. It looks like something out of a movie when you look at the scene and when i heard a train derail in the canyon, i thought we would be hearing of massive loss of life.
