Spurred by pandemic supply chain issues, Canada has seen a dramatic increase in vehicle thefts in recent years and now Ottawa plans to gather law enforcement to find solutions.

Police say they’ve recovered 52 stolen vehicles after busting an auto theft ring that shipped vehicles to destinations as far away as Azerbaijan.

Project Mamba began in October, resulting in 96 charges being laid.
