A rare first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone - with several spelling misprints in it - was sold for £56,000 at auctioneers Bonhams New York in the United States yesterday.

The piece of movie memorabilia, from 1983s Return of the Jedi, commanded the six-figure sum Tuesday through the auction house Propstore Auction.
