Optus Data Breach Pushes Australian Data Privacy Forward
The Privacy Act has needed reform in Australia and the Optus data breach has given it momentum. The Optus attack affected 11.2m customers and of that 2.8m have had their driverโs licence or passport numbers compromised. The hacker claims to have extracted the data from an API.
