Attendance numbers haven’t been finalized yet, and were affected by the few days of rain, but Fair Board President Deb Pullin-Van Auken said people still came out in droves.

It opens Wednesday with a fair preview at 4 p.m. and carnival rides starting at 5 p.m. Major events begin Thursday and run through Sunday.
