Bell in 2019 - Michael Tran/Getty ImagesInvestigation Discovery has just announced that Drake Bell, Shane Lyons and other former child stars will headline a fifth episode of the docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.The show that shocked some 16 million viewers with revelations about what went on behind the scenes at Nickelodeon in its heyday -- including that Bell had been sexually abused by a former dialog coach -- has become the most-watched docuseries in the history of Max.Quiet on Set: Breaking the Silence will premiere on the streaming service on April 7 at 8 p.m. ET. It promises to "delve deeper into the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children's television shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s, including allegations of abuse, sexism and racism."According to Investigation Discovery, the new episode will feature former Nickelodeon child stars from the early 2000s, including Bell. Some reunite for the first time to share their reactions to the docuseries, including former All That cast member Shane Lyons. "Building off the revelations explored in the first four episodes, award-winning journalist Soledad O'Brien will lead the conversation in the new episode to discuss where the industry can go from here," Investigation Discovery notes. Its producers say adding participants previously featured in Quiet on Set, including All That cast members Giovonnie Samuels and Bryan Hearne, Hearne's mother, Tracey Brown, and new voices including Lyons, "will come together ... for an important discussion about the industry, then and now."Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. It seems Tyla is a huge Disney princess fan. In a recent interview with GQ, the singer revealed which princess she would want to be if given the opportunity. "Oh my gosh, every single one," Tyla said. "I love Princess Jasmine, Ariel and even Tangled. If they were to do a Tangled live-action—come on, call me."Dua Lipa has released the acoustic video and audio for her track "Training Season." She celebrated its release over on Instagram. "hope you love this version, it was sooo fun to break this song down and perform it in such a raw form with my favourite people, the most special afternoon," Dua wrote in her caption. This year, you can celebrate America's birthday with Jonas Brothers. The band will perform at an Independence Day celebration on July 4th in Provo, Utah, Deseret News reports. They're set to headline the annual Stadium of Fire event, which will also include a fireworks display and a flyover by f-23 jets from Utah's Hill Air Force Base. When 36-year-old Taylor Swift fan and mother Selena Campione underwent an awake craniotomy to remove a brain tumor, her doctor made sure he wan't interfering with her speech and other sectors of her brain by having her sing. She chose Taylor Swift songs, Billboard reports. “My two daughters are huge Taylor Swift fans, and so am I. I hear her music 24 hours a day, in my car, in my house. I could sing with her on stage, if she wanted me to,” Campione said. “So it just made sense to sing it during surgery. It helped me, I felt like my daughters were with me.” The tracks selected, you ask? Campione sang "22," "Shake it Off" and "Style," among others.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.

Disney/Scott KirklandEmma Stone picked up her second Oscar for Best Actress Sunday night for her role as Bella Baxter in director Yorgos Lanthimos’ film Poor Things. Her speech got off to a funny start, with Emma acknowledging her broken dress, noting she thought it happened during “I’m Just Ken," the show-stopping number by her La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling. She then acknowledged the five Best Actress winners who announced the nominees, last year’s winner Michelle Yeoh, Sally Field, Charlize Theron, Jessica Lange and Jennifer Lawrence.  She then turned to her fellow nominees, Annette Bening, Sandra Hüller, Carey Mulligan and Lily Gladstone.“I share this with you. I am in awe of you and it has been such an honor to do all of this together,” Stone said through tears. “I hope we get to keep doing more together.” She then recalled some advice she got from her director ahead of the show.“The other night I was panicking ... that maybe something like this could happen and Yorgos said to me, 'Please take yourself out of it,'” she said. “And he was right because it’s not about me, it’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts and that is the best part about making movies.” The Best Actress category was considered one of the few tight races of the evening as many experts suggested it could go to either Stone or Gladstone, who already won the Golden Globe, BAFTA and the Screen Actors Guild awards for Killers of the Flower Moon.Emma previously won Best Actress for 2016’s La La Land and was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Birdman and The Favourite. She was also nominated this year for producing Poor Things.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.

Billie Eilish, 'Barbie' star America Ferrra & FINNEAS; Disney/Chris WillardAt the Oscars on March 10, Billie Eilish and her brother and collaborator FINNEAS delivered a simple, touching rendition of their Best Original Song nominee, "What Was I Made For?" from Barbie. On the red carpet ahead of the show, Billie said the most important thing about the performance was that people really focus on the words of the song, and she and FINNEAS made sure of that. He played an upright piano while she stood at a microphone, wearing an oversize black tweed jacket, long straight skirt and Mary Janes, and gave an emotional performance, with her eyes closed. As the platform the siblings stood on rotated slowly, the pink backdrop behind them opened up to reveal an entire orchestra, raised on a platform high above them, playing along. The performance earned a standing ovation, and Billie and FINNEAS embraced at the end.If Billie and FINNEAS win Best Original Song, they'll be the only people to have won two Oscars before the age of 30. They previously won the Best Original Song trophy for their James Bond theme, "No Time to Die."Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. All rights reserved.

Rosalind O’Connor/NBCC'mon -- did you really think Saturday Night Live would have Ariana Grande on as musical guest and not let her act, too?Appearing on the March 9 installment of the show, hosted by Josh Brolin, Ariana sang two songs from her new album eternal sunshine -- "we can't be friends" and "imperfect for you" -- but also appeared in a couple of sketches. First, she played a member of a support group for people pleasers, which didn't require her to sing. But she was able to use her famous voice in her second sketch: a parody of Baz Luhrmann's film Moulin Rouge. The concept of the sketch, which co-starred Ari's fellow Wicked cast member Bowen Yang, was that while filming the love songs medley -- aka the "Elephant Love Medley" -- in the movie, they didn't know which songs they would be able to get the rights to, so they sang a whole bunch of random songs just in case.Cue Ari and Yang, as Satine and Christian, singing a bizarre mashup that included "Happy Birthday," TLC's "Creep," Oasis' "Wonderwall," Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel," U2's "Pride," Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight," Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me," Styx's "Come Sail Away," Barenaked Ladies' "One Week," Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man," Elton John's "Your Song," Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," the children's song "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Do Re Mi" from The Sound of Music. The two, who broke into giggles several times, ended the sketch by singing the final vocal riff of "Defying Gravity," from Wicked. Ariana plays Glinda the Good Witch in the film, which hits theaters November 27, while Yang plays Pfannee, one of Glinda's college friends.
