Tunnels under Shifa included a command and operations center, and facilities for long-term occupancy, such as air conditioning and a toilet.

Dark smoke could be seen billowing from northern Gaza as clashes continued in various parts of the city on the November 22 eve of a ceasefire with Hamas.
