Three years after the violent suppression of nationwide #EndSARS protests against police brutality, at least 15 protesters arrested in 2020 are still being arbitrarily detained, Amnesty International Nigeria has said. The human rights organisation said the majority of them were being held without trial in Kirikiri Medium Correctional Centre and Ikoyi Medium Security Correctional Centre in Lagos.

Amnesty International said a total of fifteen protesters arrested during the #EndSARS protest of 2020 are still being arbitrarily detained three years later.

As reactions continue to trail the revelations of a leaked mass burial memo of 103 Nigerians massacred during the #EndSARS protest in October 2020, the African Action Congress (AAC) party has called for accountability. While condemning the actions of the Lagos State government and its complicit actors in the heinous #EndSARS Lekki massacre and desperate attempts to cover it, AAC insisted that those responsible for such atrocities must face the full wrath of the law.

The Lagos police command has paraded 32 suspects over alleged involvement in armed robbery, cultism and other criminal activities in the state.

The police recovered one hammer, five axes, five locally-made pistols, two locally made double-barrel, twenty-two live cartridges, two expended cartridges, two 9ml live cartridges and one Hilux vehicle from the suspects.
