The queue stretches from Westminster Hall along the River Thames

Even before the doors of the ancient palace were opened to the public the queue of mourners was already two and a half miles long. 

Can. 480 years since a monarch last died in scotland. this pageantry and incredible display like nothing else on earth. well talk about this for generations to come. i was there at holyroodhouse in the press area when the queen arrived. the crowds were 20 deep. it was packed out. it was full but the crowd was quite warm hearted and somber. it wasnt boisterous in any way. there was a great wonderful sense of camaraderie amongst the people here. people are already preparing to pay their respects. ...
