For the week, BSE Large-cap Index ended flat, while BSE Midcap index added 1.4 percent and Smallcap index rose 1.3 percent.

BSE Sensex rose 169.87 points, or 0.28 per cent, to settle at 60,300.58. NSE's Nifty50 gained 44.35 points, or 0.25 per cent, to close at 17,813.60 for the day.

In this week, Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equities worth Rs 4,643.05 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought equities worth Rs 3,026.27 crore.

Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 10 points, or 0.06 per cent, higher at 17,675, hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Friday.

BSE Sesnex added merely 22.71 points, 0.04 per cent, to end the week at 59,655.06, while NSE's Nifty50 settled flat, just 0.40 points up to 17,624.05 for the day.

Data showed that at least 12 stocks, which were traded below Rs 1 in April 2013, have surged up to 208 times in the last 10 years, with Shukra Pharmaceuticals leading the pack with a rally of 20,744 per cent.

This means Rs 1 lakh invested in any of these stocks on March 31 last year has now turned into over Rs 10 lakh at present.
