A disabled Marine veteran and his family may soon lose their long-time Simi Valley home after being notified about a practice known in the realty world as a zombie or ghost mortgage.

Radius has launched in Texas, marking the virtual brokerage's fifth market. The company has enlisted two veteran brokers to oversee operations in Houston.

In a funding round led by NFX Ventures' Pete Flint, Radius will use the funding to kick off a nationwide expansion and begin developing a mortgage product.
