Medical examination should be conducted in presence of judicial officer nominated by Telangana High Court Chief Justice, it says.
The Supreme Court on Monday ordered YSR Congress MP Kanumuri Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, who is in the Andhra police custody for sedition, to be immediately taken to the Army hospital in Secunderabad for medical examination.
A Vacation Bench of Justices Vineet Saran and B.R. Gavai expressed concern about the health of Mr. Raju. It directed that Mr. Raju be admitted in the Army Hospital for medical care until further orders.

Jailed rebel YSR Congress MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, arrested in a sedition case, was taken to Secunderabad in neighbouring Telangana for medical tests at the Army Hospital, hours after the Supreme Court on Monday ordered his forthwith transfer there.

Vijayawada: The Supreme Court on Monday called for the medical examination of rebel YSR Congress Lok Sabha member K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju at the Army Hospital, Secunderabad. He had been arrested by the state CID on charges of sedition and sent to 14-day judicial remand by the CID Court, Guntur.
The SC bench comprising Justice Vineet Saran and Justice BR Gavai ordered that a three-member medical board would examine the MP in the presence of a judicial officer named by the Telangana high court. It would submit a report to the apex court. The court asked the board to videograh entire proceedings.
