On Tuesday, the Pragyaan rover transmitted its second observation, verifying the existence of sulphur near the Southern Pole of the Moon. Sulphur is recognised for its capacity to effectively absorb impurities, making it potentially valuable for shielding the Moons water ice from the influence of detrimental substances. Sulphur finds utility in a variety of sectors, including the production of automotive batteries, fertiliser formulation, oil refinement, water treatment etc.

Chandrayaan-3 has successfully deployed the Langmuir Probe (RAMBHA-LP) instrument on the Lunar surface. This instrument, a part of the Radio Anatomy of Moon Bound Hypersensitive Ionosphere and Atmosphere payload, achieved a significant feat by conducting its maiden measurements of the lunar plasma environment near the south polar region.
