Work to install a 20mph zone in Alderley Edge village centre will commence on Monday, 23rd January, and is scheduled to continue for over five weeks.
The scheme includes the installation of six speed tables at
Amendments to setting down point layout in front of the station building
New uncontrolled crossing point in front of the station building
New turning head at eastern end of the car park
New one-way system through lower car park to the west of station building
New surface water sewers and road gullies
Proposed fuel interceptor to treat runoff from the carriageway
Updated street lighting layout and increased lighting provision
Removal of existing motorcycle parking near the station entrance
Removal of nearby trees and vegetation to accommodate proposed carriageway alignment
New landscaped area to the north of the station entrance
Amendments to ticket machine and signage locations
