Children with mental disability and hearing impairment celebrated Christmas at Jeevan Jyoti School on Thursday in the presence of their parents and members of the Rotary Club of Dhanbad.
About 45 kids partook of delicacies like chhola bhatura, gajar ka halwa, cake, chocolates and potato chips and danced to Christmas carols.
The celebration began at around 11am and concluded at around 2: 30pm. The celebration was attended by chief guest Dasrath Chandra Das, Deputy Development Commissioner of Dhanbad. He presided over the gifting of a wheel chair to a physically disabled person on behalf of the Rotary Club.
Sanjay Khemka, president of Jeevan Jyoti Sanshan in his address apprised the chief guest of the range of activities for overall development of the special children besides education and vocational training.
